Cia was behind the dissolution of the soviet union

Optimized by Komoona

A belief has become very popular everywhere that CIA was never behind the dissolution of the Soviet Union (SU), and the Agency could not even predict that the Union was going to be dissolved. It is also believed that socialism got dissolved spontaneously due to the uncorrectable economy and the inappropriate for social development soviet-style system. Most probably the belief was founded as well as spread by the Agency itself. Without taking help of any proof or support, it is very easy to come to conclusion by using common sense only, that it is nothing but a pure lie. It has been observed that wherever the American Imperialism was opposed or resisted, CIA ran covert operations there and established pro-American system by eliminating the opponents: be it Indonesia, Afghanistan, Chile or Nicaragua, it does not matter. CIA, indeed, was behind the dissolution of the SU as well as the Socialist Bloc, and it had been trying for it since 1946.

It is accepted that Cold War against the SU was announced in the speech of Winston Churchill, delivered on 6 March, 1946, in the city of Fulton, America. Churchill opined that the SU was a totalitarian as well as Asian (means barbarian!) state, which had been standing on the human dead bodies and spreading terror in the whole world. And that is why America should have the right not only to install its best atomic weapons anywhere in the world but also to drop them without the slightest hesitation on the Union.

After the speech, preparation for a big war was started in America. Although Henry Wallace, the then Secretary of Commerce, opposed it, criticism of the American Policies was stopped forever by removing Wallace not only from politics but also from social life.

America first planned to destroy the SU by dropping atomic bombs on it, but as the SU, too, became able to build the weapon in 1949, the Plan could not be executed. Arms Race was started. Possibility of destroying the Union by weapons came to end. And CIA started planning for destroying the Union economically.

But the SU was not made direct target in this case. CIA chose Poland, one of the important countries of the Socialist Bloc. Although the Poles and the Russians are of the same Slavic Race and there are much similarities in their languages (We, the foreigners, who understand Russian, understand Polish, too, up to 60%, but cannot speak, read or write, --- the author), they do not take each other into confidence: the Russians are basically simple and honest, but the mentality of the Poles is unpredictable. There is, of course, some historical background, too, behind these differences. Others may not be aware of these facts, but there is no ground that CIA, the most intelligent brains of the world, too, was unaware of it. CIA definitely knew it, and planned accordingly for destroying the SU as well as the Socialist Bloc by causing the Polish economy to collapse first.

The plan, too, was very simple, and that is why many were doubtful about its success. Poland was given a huge amount of loan from the West for modernization of its industry. The products to be manufactured in Poland, too, were ordered in advance. But when they got ready, the West refused to buy them. Due to non-realization of the order, the Polish economy, obviously, fell into difficult situation. There was a shortage of everyday consumable materials in the shops. By executing that plan, the CIA wanted to exhibit that the socialist system was incapable of creating a stable economy, and it was successful in spreading such an idea in the minds of the Poles. At the same time, the interest rate of the loan Poland took from the West was increased. Polish economy collapsed, and the government was compelled to increase the price of the essential commodities. In repercussion to it, the famous Solidarity Movement of the 1980s took its start. And CIA started covert operations for destroying the Polish economy.

The SU had already involved itself in Afghan War. In the beginning of 1982, William Casey, the then Director of CIA, put in a closed-door meeting the plan for destroying the Soviet economy before Ronald Reagan, Caspar Weinberger, the then Secretary of Defense, George Schultz, the then Home Secretary as well as George Bush, the then Vice-President. That is, details of the covert operations to be carried out to bring about the collapse of Soviet economy were described. All the others except Reagan were shocked by the plan, as in the 1970s it was believed not only in the West but also in the USA that world peace could be achieved not through the confrontation with the Socialist Bloc, but through co-operation and co-existence. Standing on the totally opposite pole, Casey elaborated the covert activities to be carried out in the following manner:
To continue rendering financial help as well as political support to the Solidarity Movement in Poland. Purpose --- in order to maintain opposition in the Socialist Bloc.
To continue rendering financial as well as military help to the Afghan Mujahidins. Purpose --- in order to spread the war into the boundary of the SU.
To build specific diplomatic relations with the countries of the West. Purpose --- in order to keep the SU away from the knowledge of modern technology.
To start psychological information war. Purpose --- in order to spread propaganda that Soviet economy had become weak and incapable.
To increase the size of armament and make it developed technologically. Purpose --- in order to compel the SU to increase expenditure on its defense.
To decrease the world price of crude oil, mainly with the help of Saudi Arabia. Purpose --- in order to minimize the intake of hard currency into the SU.

That is, America would not involve itself in direct warfare with the SU, but the Soviet economy would be weakened to such extent that the Union would dissolve automatically.

On January 30, 1983, Ronald Reagan approved the covert plan of William Casey. Interestingly, Reagan, that menacing President of USA, did not know the difference between Indonesia and Indochina as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan, but knew a thing for sure: all the sins were accumulated in one country only --- the SU!

But Casey had been involved in execution of his covert plan even before it was approved. And for this, he was provided with a Black Plane, equipped with sophisticated modern technology and not detectable by radar. As such, Casey's war against the SU was also known as the ‘War of Black and Red'.

In the beginning of April, 1981, Casey sat on his Black Plane for a three days trip to Europe and Saudi Arabia. The purpose was to decrease the world price of crude oil as well as to increase resistance in Afghanistan against the SU.

The Black Plane first landed in Egypt, the arms supplier of that time to the Mujahidins in Afghanistan. Although Anwar Sadat, the then President of Egypt, was a friend of CIA, after inspecting the weapons, Casey told him directly that those weapons were even incapable of touching the hairs of the Soviets. After that CIA rendered military as well as financial help worth of 8 billion USD to the Mujahidins. The Stringer Missiles, which were responsible for turning the wheel of Afghan War into other direction, were the most important among the weapons supplied by CIA. Using these missiles, the Mujahidins often shot down the soviet civil planes as well along with the fighter ones.

The Black Plane then arrived in Saudi Arabia. The technical staff travelling with Casey calculated that if the price of crude oil is decreased even by 1 USD per barrel, then the SU would lose from 500 million to 1 billion USD per annum. As Saudi Arabia was producing 40% of the world's crude oil at that time, the country had the capability to decrease the crude oil's world price by increasing its own oil production. Casey gave word to protect the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia from the neighboring states as well as from the revolution that took place in Iran, if it agreed to decrease the price of crude oil. Casey also promised on behalf of the US Government to safeguard the money, which was kept by the Royal Family in different banks of America as well as in the European countries. The Royal Family, obviously, agreed to Casey's proposal and increased oil production in Saudi Arabia. As a result, crude oil's world price decreased, and the SU had lost 13 billion USD in 1986 only.

In turn, Saudi Arabia, of course, had to carry out another responsibility: to render military as well as financial help to the Mujahidins in Afghanistan. Osama-bin-Laden, one of the deadliest terrorists of the world, was ultimately created in that process.

After that Casey went to Israel. The purpose was to engage Mossad, the friend of CIA, in dissolution of the SU. Mossad was given the task of establishing contact within the SU, and it was able to do the same with the help of the migrants from the SU, Poland and Hungary. And CIA started getting information from inside the SU.

On 26 April, 1982, when the Black Plane was at the height of 12000 meters from the earth's surface, the technical staff of Casey informed him about the recent situation in Poland. Poland's economy had already started collapsing. And when the price of meat was increased, workers started demonstrations against the government. A new and independent Workers' Organization was born: the Solidarity. Lech Wałęsa was the leader of Solidarity Movement, and he soon shifted his interest from placing economic demands to capturing political power.

The SU, obviously, tried to keep the socialist system alive by supplying its own essential commodities to Poland. Thus, in 1980, the SU sent help worth of 4.35 billion USD to Poland, and in 1981, the same crossed the figure of 6 billion. But Poland could not manage 12 billion USD, required for repayment of the loan it took from the West. Situation in Poland worsened in 1981: workers organizations started spreading a totally new for the Poles concept in the country --- self administration of the factories. As a result, the influence of the Communist Party of Poland lowered, and ultimately, the power shifted to the Party headed by Lech Wałęsa.

The financial as well as political help to the Solidarity Movement, rendered by CIA, had already been surfaced, and the Soviet print media, especially the newspaper ‘Krasnaya Zvezda', made CIA directly responsible for the situation occurred in Poland. Casey's technical staff informed him about it. The Black Plane then took the course to Rome.

John Paul II, the deadly opponent of communism, was the Pope in Rome at that time. He was also of Polish origin (His name in Poland was Karol Wojtyła). In 1979, when he visited Poland, his Fatherland, he was greeted warmly by millions of Poles. CIA knew very well about his influence on the Poles. As such, Casey provided the Pope with financial, technical as well as communication helps and secured his assistance in influencing the Poles. The Pope, too, carried out his ‘responsibilities' very well by keeping regular contact with Lech Wałęsa and providing him with money, information as well as techniques.

The treasury of the SU became almost empty as millions of dollars were spent in Poland in the form of help as well as in the Afghan War. At the same time, another incident had adverse impact on the Soviet economy. The SU at that time was constructing pipe line for supplying natural gas from Siberia to different countries of Europe. Execution of the Project could have accumulated some money in the almost empty treasury of the Union (it was expected to earn about 320 billion USD annually from the Project). As such, CIA started creating obstructions in execution of the Project. But it was also not so easy, for no European country wanted to be deprived of the so much essential natural gas. On the other hand, to complete the Project, the SU was in need of imported steel pipes worth of 15-20 million USD. Hence, there appeared a chance for CIA to make the Project unsuccessful by imposing sanctions.

And on 20 December, 1982, Reagan imposed sanctions on the SU. The West European countries, too, were convinced to impose similar sanctions on the SU. As a result, execution of the Project got delayed by 2 years, and only 30% of the expected capacity could be achieved.

In 1982, the situation in the Socialist Bloc worsened even more: the lending West European countries not only compelled the countries of the Bloc to decrease the subsidies to industry as well as agriculture but also stopped approving new loans. As a result, no country of the Bloc could complete its Annual Plan. On the other hand, the world price of crude oil got decreased once again, and the economy of the SU worsened even more: coupons for essential commodities were introduced again in the Union after 40 years from World War II.

In the mean time, planning for Star Wars had been completed in America on personal initiative of Reagan. According to the theories of Physics, there was no possibility at all that Star Wars would ever come into action, and the Soviet scientists, too, informed the Soviet leaders about it on time. But Kremlin, along with the military heads of the Union, got frightened in the same manner as the CIA had expected, and putting aside the justified opinions of their own scientist, the Soviets had increased the expenditure on its defense.

Gorbachev came to power in 1985 and announced Perestroika. He himself knew that no Perestroika would save the Soviet economy, unless there was all-sphere and complete modernization of the production process. And only 40 to 50 billion dollars were needed for that modernization, but Casey had already taken the amount away from the Union.

But instead of trying to arrange the amount as well as stabilize the Soviet economy to some extent by taking some harsh but exact steps, Gorbachev made it even more unstable by implementing the policies, which were planned and handed over by the CIA. On the other hand, by implementing Glasnost he helped the black marketeers as well as the mafia to rise. In the mean time, CIA had prepared Alexander Yakovlev, the then ambassador to Canada, for dissolution of the SU, and sent him to Moscow on time. CIA used to send the plans for dissolution of the SU through Yakovlev, and Gorbachev, in turn, used to put them in action.

Gorbachev dissolved not only the SU (The opinion of the Soviet people in this case was not even taken into consideration, for 76.4% of the voters of the referendum, which took place on 17 March, 1990, voted for continuing existence of the SU), but also the Warsaw Pact, and, that too, without arranging for dissolving its counterpart NATO, and thereby cleared the roads for American Imperialism.

Needless to mention that CIA destroyed the SU, which used to stand for the exploited, the oppressed as well as the deprived, to make the roads clear for imperialism, which supports and runs exploitation, oppression as well as deprivation in the world. Nevertheless Gorbachev, the so called communist, is so much responsible for destroying the socialist system as much as the CIA itself.
